Malecon House is a newly constructed inn along the main tourist strip in Esperanza. It’s lovely and designed in a way that makes you feel farther removed from the action than you actually are. The rooms and pool are beautiful.

El Blok is a brand-new hotel (about to open) being heralded in the media as “one of the most architecturally significant hotels in the Caribbean.” It’s on the Malecon, and has a restaurant.
Casa de Tortuga is an adorable guest house in Esperanza, also walking distance from the Malecon. This is a very reasonably-priced property with one, two and three-bedroom air-conditioned units and a swimming pool. Some units have flat screen satellite television and full kitchens.
